TSI ‘s service area covers northern Illinois, eastern Iowa, and the U.P. of Michigan with distribution centers based in Madison and Green Bay.
Job Summary:
Reporting to Commercial Sales Manager, Estimator develops plan and spec quotes for customers.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- To Be… Punctual, cooperative, dependable, and able to take direction.
- Develop quotes on commercial equipment for dealers.
- Develop plan and spec quotes for contractors.
- Write up orders for equipment on jobs that are successfully bid.
- Coordinate and track job status for commercial and plan and spec jobs.
- Assist sales engineers in development of shop drawings.
- Travel to contractors and builders to exchange items including blueprints and other bidding information.
- Promotes and maintains a flexible cooperative, positive, team oriented attitude with and between departments and end users.
- Ensures timely, accurate, proper records, files, data bases, etc. are developed and maintained for assigned areas of responsibility.
- Open and willing to perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience/Skills:
- Experience in HVAC engineering, contracting, HVAC technical sales or support.
- Excellent skills in organization, detail orientation, analytical, clerical and follow through.
- Solid understanding of the company’s sales function and related service.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient PC and related spreadsheet and software applications.
- Be a self-starter and posses the ability to work with limited supervision.
- Able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment while maintaining a positive pro-active customer service approach.
