TempExperts is supporting a Clearwater Production Shop in their search for a Tool Grinders . This position is a critical position for the shop and requires a person who pays close attention to detail, safety, and works well with other people across multiple departments.
Duties and responsibilities include :
- Computing numbers, widths, and angles of cutting tools, micrometers, scales, and gauges adjust these tools to produce specified cuts.
- Filing or finishing surfaces of workpieces using prescribed hand tools.
- Fitting parts together in preassembly to ensure that dimensions are accurate.
- Inspecting, feeling, and measuring workpieces to ensure that surfaces and dimensions meet specifications.
- Monitoring machining operations to determine whether adjustments are necessary.
Skills and Qualifications :
- High School Diploma or equivalent certification.
- 5 years of relevant experience.
- Working knowledge of grinding and sharpening tools as well as abrasives.
- Proficient with hand tools and measurement tools such as micrometers.
- Strong ability to read and interpret design plans and spec sheets.
- Proactive, hard worker with a strong attention to detail.
