Responsibilities:

  • Travels to a temporary assigned facility to act as a supervisor as necessary.
  • Traveling Rehab Supervisor acts as a temporary manager for new start-up facilities or in the absence of an assigned supervisor.
  • Adheres to productivity requirements regarding patient care/treatment and management time allocation outlined by Tender Touch.
  • Acts as a team leader/mentor to all members of the rehab team to the facility assigned.
  • Ensures appropriate identification and authorization for patients with various payor sources.
  • For Med A patients: 
    • Sets treatment schedules as recommended by the therapist.
    • Coordinates minutes between disciplines.
    • Reviews treatment minutes daily to ensure proper RUGS categorization/utilization.
    • Monitors variance and adjust rehab schedule to meet category guidelines.
    • Ensures that appropriate rehab sections on the MDS are filled out promptly.
    • Attends UR meetings consistently.
    • Ensures proper ramping up and down of categories to meet resident needs.
    • Organizes group treatment as recommended by evaluating therapist.
  • Attends care plan meetings as indicated by the facility and regional manager.
  • Assists in developing and implementing new programs as needed.
  • Establishes that MD orders are obtained as needed and that proper HCPCS code is utilized.
  • Traveling Rehabilitation Supervisor acts as a representative for the rehabilitation department to communicate with the facility and members of the interdisciplinary team.
  • Serves as a liaison between the rehab department and the regional manager.
  • Signs time off requests and verify time sheets and statistics for all disciplines.
  • Arranges for treatment coverage during therapists’ absence by rearranging schedules, contacting other facilities, or calling the office when necessary.
  • Monitors performance within the department and contacts the regional manager weekly.
  • Reviews all logs and billing weekly and at month’s end for accuracy and submission on time.
  • Ensures claims on review are submitted accurately and on time.
  • Traveling Rehabilitation Supervisor Performs other duties assigned by the regional manager.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited university with an MS, MA, BS, BA, or Associates degree in Physical, Occupational or Speech Therapy
  • Holds current license and/or a registration in the state (as applicable)
