What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Generalist position at Tenneco?
We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist, this position supports and collaborates with the HR Supervisor focusing on administration of strategies,
programs, training, policies and processes in supportof organizational objectives at the Seward Facility. In this role, you can expect the following responsibilities recruiting, payroll, onboarding of assigned employee groups, and supports the employee engagement efforts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides HR support with talent development,employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, payroll, records management, safety and health,and employee relations & engagement.
Understands all HR policies, procedures, and guidelines; communicates and reinforces organization values.
Monitors key plant metrics, recommends action based on actual to plan, prepares presentations as needed
Administrating payroll function for the site
Plans, prepares, documents and conducts HR related functions from on-boarding through the lifecycle of employment that fosters positive employee relations.
Enhances department and organization reputation by initiating and supporting activities that drive diversity, inclusion, and engagement through the facility and community.
Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements ensuring adherence to requirements and advising management on needed actions.
Lead employee engagement activities
May be assigned to special projects.
