What are the responsibilities and job description for the Animal Science Researcher position at Tentamus North America?
Genesis Midwest, part of the Tentamus Group, is seeking a talented self-motivated animal health researcher with a minimum of 5 years FDA and EPA compliant hands-on experience in conducting GLP animal, poultry, and avian research studies.
Main Responsibilities:
- Prepare proposals, protocols, price quotation, etc. for future projects.
- Assist in planning for business and facilities expansion.
- Assist in marketing and management aspects of the company.
- Coordinate proposal activity for select sponsors.
- Interface with QAU to ensure GLP compliance.
- Serve as Institutional Official of the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) to ensure USDA animal care requirements are satisfactorily met.
- Serve as assistant Radiation Safety Officer
- Experienced in conducting animal health studies per CVM, CVMP, EPA, VICH guidelines.
- Proficient in conducting 14C and cold residue GLP studies with Cattle, Swine, Poultry, as well as Target Animal Safety
- Manage key personnel-farm hands.
- Ensure that test facility supplies meet requirements appropriate to their use in a study.
- Coordinate staff meetings to ensure good communication concerning proposed and on-going studies.
- Prepare monthly summaries of outstanding proposals, estimated backlog, current billings, etc.
- Coordinate Accounts Receivables.
- Prepare invoices/billings for on-going studies.
- Ensure the maintenance of a record of the qualifications, training, experience, and job description for each professional and technical individual.
