General Responsibilities:
In this critical role you will assemble and manage regional teams of employees responsible for the execution of business pertaining to Deep Foundation Testing (DFT) services within the North Central Division (i.e., central U.S.)
This is a great opportunity to grow a profitable group throughout the division and quickly become a Group Manager or Department Manager within our 100% employee-owned firm! You will be able to utilize Terracon's strong network of engineers and offices throughout the Division to hire and train employees as well as market and sell these services.
Travel (possibly heavy at times) will be required initially, but less travel will be necessary as the group is developed. Eventually, the only required travel would be to perform site safety and quality check-ins or to kick-off large projects.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
- Execute the initiatives of the DFT team operating within local offices/regions in the North Central Division (NC). Reports results to National Manager, and Division Leadership.
- Oversee and ensure consistent/quality operations and practices of regional teams by providing training, inspections, and monitoring/balancing workload of services related to Pile Driving Analysis (PDA), Cross-hole Sonic Logging (CSL), Thermal Integrity Profiling (TIP), Pile Integrity Testing (PIT), Shaft Inspection Device (SID), among others.
- Monitor the performance of regional teams through site visits, safety incident investigation, quality audits and metrics.
- Partner with National Manager and other leaders to develop and deliver coordinated and consistent services across all regions.
- Monitor safety, quality, and production of regional teams and provide recommendations for improvement to operations leaders and National Manager.
- Communicate safety initiatives, rules, and guidelines. Hold employees accountable for following safety rules and guidelines.
- Assist local offices with marketing activities related to the business segment including pricing and planning.
- Participate and provide input in the recruitment, interview, and selection process for new team members.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 8-11 years' experience.
- Master's degree in Engineering preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
