Job Description

- Oversee the period end Controls / Balance Sheet Controls and be the first point of contact for issue resolution. - Accountable for seamless run of Balance Sheet Governance. - Has adequate process knowledge and able to connect / understand the risks in the existing operations and apply existing process knowledge to analyse the impact on overall financial with the ability to identify financial risks while defining new operations. Work with cross functional teams to mitigate risk and take steps to avoid recurrence of the issue. Drive continuous improvement through BOTs and other available tools and resources. - Oversee timely delivery of the SOX / KFC assessment; by working closely with the BU resolve challenges / queries while working closely with the Finance teams as well as the Group Finance. Oversee the delivery of external audit and support finance teams for challenges if any during the audit. Manage the expectations between the Audit team as well as the BU. Setup a BAU process for SOX controls testing. - Accountable for delivery of Control Processes (SOX; Audit Management; SOD; Data Integrity and Change Program). Plan and deliver trainings within the team and for wider teams to upskill on controls; policies etc. - Mentors and develops the WL2 in his area to enhance performance and develop future leaders. Mobilises resources to achieve results across Function by setting clear; stretched goals and assigning responsibilities. - Developing and leading a high performing team; creating an environment for success by setting direction and coaching them to succeed through inspiring conversations every day. - Promoting a culture of Continuous Improvement within their teams to drive operational improvements - Accountable for achieving team's objectives; stakeholder management and escalation management

Qualifications

Operational skills relevant for this job:

* Accounting Basic concepts (Including Golden rules) * Adv MSOffice - MS Excel , Word, Powerpoint * IT Tools Acumen * Problem solving * Working Knowledge on ERP - Oracle / Other ERP In Finance Domain *Stakeholder Management *People Management

Experience relevant for this job:

Required: * Strong understanding of finance domain. * Conceptual & Application Knowledge of IFRS / IAS - ability to gauge impacts. * Conceptual knowledge of Commercial / Retail - retail (stores) operations, Commercial (Buy & sell). * Experience with analysing and interpreting Key Finance controls needed for processes, guiding the team on the same
