What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineering Technician position at Tesla, Inc.?
Tesla Energy is looking for a highly skilled engineering
technician to sustain power electronics line equipment. This would include
basic electrical/mechanical troubleshooting, tester and robot recoveries, and
mechanical design using CAD.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot equipment/process
faults on the module line and help recover, report, and escalate when needed
- Support Engineers in downtime
activities of operation equipment including clear understanding of electrical, mechanical
equipment, and PLC.
- Help create and modify equipment
troubleshooting guides and train operation teams when applicable
- Support Engineers in submitting
and managing orders including vendor communication, obtaining quotes, on and
offsite logistics, PO creation, and asset management
- Audit spares and add/remove items,
change minimum quantities, for all equipment in the line
Requirements
- AS or BS degree in Mechanical
Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 2 years of experience in an
engineering development environment
- Great engineering drawing skills
(CAD)
- Experience with test equipment
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Excellent documentation and
project management skills
- Must be able to identify energy
sources in order to disable and verify safety through lock out tag out or other
means.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
