They will participate in planning and initiating specialized programs. Regularly attend meetings and conferences to discuss the progress of assigned education programs; recruitment of students; preparing reports on these associated activities; and perform other duties as assigned. What You Need to Know Salary Range: Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire's experience. Work Schedule: Due to the nature of this position, a hybrid or remote work arrangement may be available for workplace flexibility. Occasional travel required and occasional work required after hours and on weekends. Required Education and Experience: BA/BS Degree in STEM field 4 years of experience in STEM education or curriculum development Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of spreadsheet applications Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills Maintains attention to detail and utilizes sound judgment Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Masters or higher degree in STEM or related field Project Management Experience Experience with software: Microsoft Office and Presentation Graphics. Responsibilities: Program Development: Assists the center faculty in the planning, development, implementation, coordination, and monitoring of educational programs and services. Participates in planning and initiating specialized programs. Coordinates and manages center educational and professional development efforts, working alongside current CMCC faculty – connecting CMCC faculty, students, and staff to other students, teachers, veterans programs and to the general public. Specific programs include Professional Development Training support, curriculum development and implementation, supporting the CMCC Mechanochemistry Discussions online seminar series, meeting facilitation and logistics, management support of existing education and training programs. Administrative: Supports administrative needs for education and professional training efforts. Maintains and oversees budgets. Communicates with the Director and Associate Director regarding education activities and plans. Collaborates with Chemistry Department staff at Texas A&M University, TAMU MarCom, and other institutions to help maintain the website and coordinate facilities and other logistics related to education and professional development programs. Coordinates with external partners on the dissemination of educational materials. Reports regularly about the status of education and training activities. Prepares materials related to annual reports and funding regarding education and professional development efforts. Assists in the development of policies and procedures. Participates in bi-annual planning and coordination meetings with center faculty and students. Collaboration: Collaborates with the External Advisory Board of the CMCC, the Managing Director of the CMCC, and NSF to evaluate education and professional development programs for continuous improvement. This includes helping to develop and administer assessment instruments and performs other duties as assigned.
