DAY TO DAY AS A REGISTERED NURSE (RN)/IVF NURSE
As a new Registered Nurse at Texas Fertility Center, you can expect a dynamic and fulfilling role providing patient -centered care. On a day-to-day basis, you will collaborate with our team of fertility specialists to deliver exceptional care to our patients by providing the following:
- Educate patients about their infertility evaluations, medications, treatment protocols and procedures.
- Ensure patient pre-cycle requirements are met prior to starting treatment and maintain communication throughout the fertility journey.
- Coordinate patient treatment plans, provide injection training, and triage patient questions.
- Collaborate with Physicians, IVF Lab, Surgery Center, and Billing teams to ensure a smooth treatment experience for the patient and clinic.
- Assist with consents and sonograms for IVF Retrievals and FET (Frozen Embryo Transfer) in the office as well as at our surgery center.
- Assist Physician with lab reviews and patient communication.
- Ensure all patient information is documented appropriately.
- Phone triage
- Patient education
- New patient education (IVF/FET/ERA)
- Scheduling
- Initiation of cycles (IVF/FET/ERA)
- Medication preparation
- Setting up patient calendars for treatment
- IVF/FET consents
- Sending Physician orders
- Provide trigger ovulation instructions.
- Monitor early pregnancies.
- OB-medical records-Graduates
- Obtain all testing results for physician to review and report results with treatment plan to patient.
- Administer injections/provide injection teaching.
- Call in prescriptions.
- Work with our Authorization department
- Chaperone
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS
Education: Bachelor of Science or associate degree in nursing
License: Must be licensed and current with all requirements necessary to maintain license. There also must be no restrictions or warnings posted through the licensing board.
