The Assistant Eyeglass Manager assists the General Manager with store operations and ensures that the eyeglass department operates in accordance with the company policies and procedures. This position oversees the Opticians and Contact Len Sales associates and the Receptionist.

We are looking for an Assistant Manager to join our growing team. The Assistant Eyeglass Manager assists the General Manager with store operations and ensures that the eyeglass department operates in accordance with the company policies and procedures. This position oversees the Opticians and Contact Len Sales associates and the Receptionist.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain goal to exceed the patient’s expectation, going the extra mile
- Focus on Patient experience
- Responds to and resolves any patients concerns or complaints
- Monitor and achieve profit, sales and performance goals
- Optimize and oversee the eyeglass department to ensure efficiency and compliance with company’s policies and operational guidelines.
- Ensure store promotions, advertising, and visual merchandising are in place and all associates and doctors are aware of current promotions.
- Supervise and motivate Opticians and CL Sales associates and ensures the timely completion of day-to-day functions.
- Assist the General Manager with forecasting staffing needs
- Motivate associates to exceed performance standards.
- Ensures all associates are properly cross-trained in all areas of the office and Ongoing staff training
- Ensures all selling standards are being achieved by sales personnel such as percentage of Multiple pairs, back up glasses, Protection plans, reducing exam only, maximizing each transaction by educating the patient
- Communicates, implements, and ensures compliance to all company policies, procedures and company changes to associates in an accurate and timely fashion.
- Leads 10-15 mins meeting each day.
- Communicates in a strong, accurate, and motivational manner
- Provides communication to associates regarding performance; provides direction when improvement is required. (Receptionist, Pre-lim, Contact services)

- Generates a positive atmosphere by being a role model and encouraging teamwork
- Supervise and direct staff in day-to-day operations.
- 2 years of Optical experience. Supervising experience is preferred.
- Proven ability to lead, coach and build associate relationships.
- Sound understanding of store operations and standards for success.
- Strong communication skills (both oral and written) for effective management of teams.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills for planning work and continuously monitoring progress towards goals.
- Ability to analyze, create, and understand financial reports.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems of varied scope.
