Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.
  • Under general direction, maintains and updates existing IT systems and databases in response to client requirements
  • Designs, codes, and tests new application solutions
  • Writes and maintains documentation to describe program development logic, coding, testing, changes and corrections
  • Provides client support and training; utilize various databases to generate meaningful information to facilitate decision making
  • Conduct quantitative analysis on research trends, characteristics and outcomes to college administrators
  • Consults, advises research administrators on data needs
  • Ensures the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of data for both internal and external reports and projects

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience in complex database query design
  • Experience in objected oriented programming
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis in interpretation, presentation, and organization of data
  • Strong problem solving and communication skills, ability to multi-task and work under pressure

Job Description
Under general direction of the Director of Research Support Services, RRSS, develops software solutions, provides research software user support to ORSP and the research community in the university, serves as the webmaster of multiple ORSP related websites.
Responsible for developing highly complex information management system and business management system software to support critical operations of AVPR and researchers on campus

Job Duties
Designs, codes, tests, and deploys software systems and databases, writes and maintains documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes and corrections, maintains and updates existing software systems and databases in response to new client requirements, provide client support and software training for commercial software systems and internal developed software.
