Position Description
Provides project management including adherence to budget, schedule and scope. Plans, schedules or coordinates projects activities to meet deadlines. Monitors project compliance. Coordinates the overall integration of the project. Supervises and directs project personnel; assigns duties and responsibilities.
Major/Essential Functions
Oversight for Data Governance Projects (Business Process, Technology, Documentation, Policies) including the development of Project Scope and prioritization of Projects/Requests
Provide support for the Data Stewardship Council/Data Governance Board Meetings and Project Teams
Manage and Organize Data Governance Documentation, Output Mapping, and Datasets
Communicate and Coordinate with the campus, data stewards, data owners, about Data Governance activities, projects, and Operating Policy requirements
Evaluate data processes, impact on business processes, and promote the value of data assets.
Supports the execution of Data Quality Assessment projects and assists the Chief Data Management Officer with publishing results.
Adheres to all policies, protocol, and procedures when dealing with data security, sensitive data, and data ethics.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree plus three years related experience; OR a combination of education and/or related experience to equal seven years.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong Project Management skills preferably related to technology based projects.
Experience either with Data Management Principles, Data Governance, or direct experience with one or more of the nine Data Management Functional areas.
Familiarly with enterprise information tools like SQL Server, Power BI, Oracle, etc.
Some experience with Technical Writing
Understanding of how business requirements are captured for various data management projects.
