Job description
Texas Tissue Converting is looking for a Payroll Coordinator to process payroll transactions in our company. Payroll coordinator responsibilities include processing timesheets, updating payroll records and answering employee questions about payments. Ultimately, you'll ensure employees are compensated correctly and on time. If you have great attention to detail and outstanding analytical and numerical skills, we'd like to meet you.
Responsibilities
- Process payroll biweekly payroll in a timely and accurate manner
- Enter new hire data into HRIS and ensure assignments to proper Timekeeping Policies
- Ensure required paperwork is signed and in order for any personnel changes (pay changes, position changes, additional earnings/deductions, etc.) and process through payroll.
- Process other financial compensations or deductions (bonus, severance, taxes, worker's compensation)
- Communicate with Benefit Vendors and process health insurance deductions for new enrollments, plan changes, rate changes, and terminations through payroll.
- Review time sheets and verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments for accuracy and enter missed punches
- Track paid time off and vacation hours
- Answer employee payroll related inquiries and resolve payroll discrepancies
- Produce payroll reports to upper management upon request
- Run complex daily, weekly, and monthly reports for HR Team as needed
- Organize filing systems and streamline cloud based records in HRIS system.
- Track performance reviews and update logs.
Skills
- Proven experience as a payroll coordinator or similar role
- Familiarity with payroll processes
- Working knowledge of payroll and HRIS systems.
- Comfortable with Excel (functions, data etc.)
- An analytical mind with good math skills
- HR recordkeeping skills.
- Ability to handle software HRIS system set ups and complex reports.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Bachelor degree or training beyond high school preferred.
