DescriptionAviation InternshipDescription JOB SUMMARYThe Corporate Aviation Department seeks a highly motivated and responsible student with an interest in an aviation profession. This is a great opportunity to learn and gain experience in a corporate aviation environment. The selected candidate will be expected to assist with and participate in the daily activities and special projects of the corporate aviation department.This is an in person internship located in Warwick, RI, from October to December based on your school schedule and availability. RESPONSIBILITIES Work collaboratively with the corporate aviation team to gain a strong understanding of the day-to-day responsibilities of the department. Review scheduled flights to ascertain ground and catering needs. Ensure hotels and car transportation are scheduled as necessary. Review daily trip information for accuracy and compliance before filing and interdivisional billing Participate in flight briefs. Assist with a variety of administrative processes, including filing and telephone coverage. Suggest potential alternatives to current processes to improve efficiency and timeliness. Support the aviation team with ongoing and new projects . Research, design, and develop solutions to assigned projects and tasks related to the aviation department, specifically a filing project in the Pilot Loft. Additional responsibilities and projects as assigned. Protect and maintain the privacy of employee personnel records including, but not limited to, personal and compensation information about employees. Open to future career development opportunities within Textron business unit locations.Qualifications EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Must be enrolled as a full-time college student pursuing a degree in a related field. Pursuing aviation as an academic and professional direction. SKILLS/COMPETENCIES Advanced computer skills, including ability to effectively use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook programs. Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Creative thinker who is self-motivated. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to work both as a member of a team and independently.
