What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Technician position at TFC Poultry?
TFC Poultry is a family-owned business with the purpose to build a family culture for all those we influence to lead a healthy, balanced life. TFC Poultry is currently expanding and opening our second poultry production plant in Winchester, Virginia, as such we're currently hiring for an IT Technician.
The IT Technician provides advanced support to multiple locations by managing hardware, software, accounts, and data reporting to drive the overall performance and efficiency of applications and systems.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for IT support within the organization
- Install, configure, and maintain software and hardware components of computer and network systems
- Conduct user account management, including provisioning/de-provisioning and maintenance
- Diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware issues
- Repair and replace damaged computer and network components
- Possesses knowledge of an enterprise component (e.g. Network Infrastructure, Exchange, Active Directory, VMware)
- Ensure the security of the server and computers by installing and upgrading antivirus, malware, and firewall software, and create regular training and testing to ensure the proficiency of the team and our systems
- Assist in implementing and maintaining ERP software
- Maintain and update technical documentation regularly
- Test new hardware and software prior to full-scale installation
- Train team on understanding new systems and how to be more proficient with such
- Install infrastructure cabling between workstations and communication hosts
- Maintain and update basics of the company website
- Promote personal and company image throughout the community
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in computer information systems or similar field
- 3 or more years of IT support experience
- Understanding of Windows OS, Group Policy, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 applications
- MCSA: BI Reporting Certification preferred
