What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Sales Specialist position at TFC Recycling?
·Recyclable materials commodities market including paper, plastics, aluminum, steel, glass as well as other recyclable materials and the gradations of each recycled material
· The economics of profitable sourcing and placement of material commodities including pricing information available through websites, pricing sheets, and/or other resources
· Relationships with other businesses partners, both domestically and internationally, that have an interest in the purchase of recyclable material(s)
· Market trends and initiatives related to environmentally friendly products and businesses
· Logistics procedures including port operations, as well as the trucking industry
· Requirements and a familiarity with the weights and measures associated with trucking scales
· Understanding of inventory practices used in the storage of materials
· Effective buyer management skills, including the ability to work with and influence buyers’ executive management, as needed
· Proficiency with MS Office, including advanced MS Excel skills such as macros, and advanced formulas
· Proficiency with proprietary software (AMCS/Elemos, CieTrade, SofPak, etc.)
· Strong analytical skills with a focus on detail, cost drivers, and total cost of ownership
· Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, with customers and stakeholders to build strong internal and external relationships while maintaining a high sense of urgency and focus
· Ability to effectively manage multiple projects or tasks with varying and sometimes competing for timelines
