What are the responsibilities and job description for the Haul Road Manager position at TFE, Inc.?
Minimum of six (6) years’ supervisory experience in Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) commercial motor vehicle operations and maintenance performed under Davis Bacon Act labor requirements (or DOE site).
The nature of the waste generally includes concrete, scrap metal, debris, soil, and wastewater. The waste has regulatory classifications of non-hazardous, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, Toxic Substances Control Act, and low-level radioactive waste as defined by the Atomic Energy Act of 1954 as amended, as well as combinations of the above. Portions of all waste material types may be classified (DOE Order 470.4B Chg. 2, Safeguards and Security Program). Waste to be transported by this Subcontract result from remedial actions conducted in accordance with CERCLA (42 United States Code 96 seq.) and from decontamination and demolition of surplus facilities at the ORR and offsite facilities.
This work is to be performed at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Oak Ridge Reservation (ORR) in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. SUBCONTRACTOR shall provide safe, compliant, effective, and efficient services for WASTE TRANSPORTATION SERVICES, TRANSPORTATION HUB OPERATIONS, AND HAUL ROAD MAINTENANCE associated with waste generated at the Y-12 National Security Complex (Y-12), the East Tennessee Technology Park (ETTP), the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), and Remedial Actions at off-reservation locations that meet the criteria for a Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act of 1980 (CERCLA) action.
All work covered by this scope shall be performed in accordance with existing permits, laws and regulations of the state of Tennessee, the federal government, DOE Orders, and all other applicable codes, standards, procedures, and memorandums of understanding. Work required by this Subcontract shall be performed over the entire area of the ORR with additional work to occur outside the ORR.
The Scope of Work (SOW) includes the services, equipment, materials, and labor to transport waste, equipment, and other materials from their origination locations to within the ORR and offsite locations. The materials transported will be in support of remedial cleanup actions and decontamination and demolition of surplus facilities on the ORR and at certain offsite locations. The SOW also includes the services, equipment, materials, and labor necessary for the maintenance of the Transportation HUB and Haul Road between ETTP and the Environmental Management Waste Management Facility (EMWMF).
