Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pizza Cook to join our team. As a Pizza Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious pizzas while ensuring high-quality standards. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will contribute to the success of our pizza kitchen.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook pizzas according to established recipes and standards
- Monitor food quality and ensure pizzas are cooked to perfection
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing dough, and assembling ingredients
- Upsell menu items and provide recommendations to customers
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and slicers
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Handle cash transactions using the cash register
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Pizza Cook or in a similar role is preferred
- Strong knowledge of pizza making techniques and ingredients
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating portion sizes
- Familiarity with Aloha POS system is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact with customers in a friendly manner
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
