JOB SUMMARY

This position checks parts, sub-assemblies, entire assemblies, and processes assuring Armor provides quality products to meet the customer’s and/or Armor Metal’s specifications and satisfaction.

Responsibilities include:

· Detailed inspection of our products at the point of receipt, in-process, and final assembly

· Lead team based problem solving exercises

· Writing procedures, best practices, and reports

· Filling out material non-conformance reports and track/record first pass yields

· Using and controlling inspection documents used for QC inspections

· Taking product pictures and labeling

· Organizing & managing all of the QC documentation within the project files

· Filing, word processing, copying, and e-mailing

· Stopping and bringing attention to non-compliant fabrication issues to the manufacturing fabricators and manufacturing supervision

· Attending and participating in Project Kick Off Meetings

· Additional items as assigned by manager

PRINCIPAL CONTACTS INSIDE/OUTSIDE THE COMPANY

This position interacts with Supervisors, Quality Inspectors, Engineers, Project Managers, Customers, Suppliers and other Armor Metal employees as necessary.

COMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTS

· Must be organized and efficient

· Understanding and application of inspection metrology

· Must have analytical skills

· Must be able to read and interpret blue prints

· Effective communication skills

· Advanced knowledge and proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access)

· Able to handle multiple and changing responsibilities

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

· High School diploma or GED equivalent

· Two year technical degree preferred

· 3 years of inspection experience is required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
