Accounting Assistant

Temp to Hire!!

Leading manufacturer of quality performance tools needs an Accounting Assistant, specifically someone with an Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable background. This is a temp to hire opportunity located in Franklin, NJ. The primary responsibilities of the Accounting Assistant are to maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable as well as to assist the Controller and Sr. Accounting Specialist. This position works in a clean office environment.

Qualifications needed for the Accounting Assistant are:

· High School Diploma and/or equivalent

· Minimum 3 – 5 years AR/AP experience

· Strong mathematical aptitude

· Outstanding telephone presence

· Strong organizational skills

· Prior experience with accounting software (MAS 200 or Sage 100)

· Strong knowledge of Excel

Responsibilities for the Accounting Assistant include:

· All Accounts Payable inquiries

· Provide backup to the Accounting Specialist for Accounts Receivable

· Perform credit checks on orders prior to shipment.

· Custom documents for international orders

· Process expense reports.

· Coding and entering of invoices into Sage 100 system.

· Prepare manual checks for signature.

· Process vendor credit card payments.

· Enter manual checks into Sage system.

· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

This is a Monday – Friday position working 8:30 am to 5pm. Payrate for this position is up to $22/hr. For immediate consideration, apply today!
