Event planner

The Axel Group is seeking an Event Planner to join our client’s team out of Volusia County, Florida. This award-winning home builder develops communities across the state of Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and North Carolina.

This individual must possess skills that encourage relationships and engage the residents within community.

Responsibilities :

Manage and promote the community, amenities & lifestyle activities based upon resident interests, physical abilities, age groups, etc.

i.e. golf, tennis, workout facilities, social and leisure time activities

• Act as the liaison between sales managers, community’s sales associates, owner / developer, club & amenities managers, development department, residents and prospective purchasers within the community
• Use creativity and independent discretion to provide interesting and engaging activities that promote resident relations and comradery
• Poll residents for preference on activities and events and arranges for implementation
• Set up, maintain and distribute community events calendar
• Plan, manage, execute and attend community events and activities
• Promote community outreach
• Conduct community and amenity presentations to prospective purchasers, while working closely with community sales team and / or amenities employees and trainers
• Keep management updated and informed of events and activities
• Other related tasks as required, i.e. answering phones, checking messages, inspecting facilities and reporting repairs or maintenance needs, maintaining community brochures or collateral materials

Requirements :

• High School diploma or GED required, additional qualifications are a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent social media skills
• Exceptional management, promotional, influencing and hospitality skills
• Outstanding team and relationship building ability
• Articulate and confident communicator
• Flexible, adaptive, and outgoing personality
• Active Florida Driver’s License
