The Baddour Center is a model residential community for adults with intellectual, developmental disabilities and/or autism located in NW Miss. 30 miles south of Memphis, TN on I55. Around 120 residents requiring various levels of support live in residences on 160 beautifully landscaped acres in a campus-like setting. Residents live an enriched life as they live, learn , work, worship and play and are supported by trained professionals. Baddour Packaging provides work opportunities for a large number of residents who perform packaging, shipping and fulfillment services for over 20 local companies. Scope and/or Purpose: The Manager of Resident Employment participates in the ongoing development and management of services to the resident work force. As an employee of the Vocational Division, the incumbent is expected to work in a manner that promotes teamwork, cost efficiency, and safety, and understands and complies with The Baddour Center Code of Ethics. The Baddour Center uses positive behavior supports to shape resident worker performance.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Manages and evaluates all day-today resident employment
· Serves as informed representative in all admission and resident support meetings
· Collects and analyzes resident data for training, placement, and communication through:
o Assessment Systems
o Observations
· Works with a Behavior Analyst to develop training programs and person-centered
interventions for residents and staff. Arranges for training of programs
· Administers vocational assessments on all new admissions. Interprets, writes reports, and
communicates results
· Maintains resident files and electronic records using CDT, Echo Vantage, GAT, and Crystal
Reports
· Develops services and manages growth to meet the needs of residents
· Develops community employment opportunities
· Provides supervision to Vocational Supervisors
· Produces a monthly Vocational Report
· Writes resident reports
· Develops further teaching/training opportunities
· Manages all resident watch lists: Working Disabled, etc.
Other Functions:
· Manages daily Vocational Worklist
· Fills in as resident supervisor as needed
· Fills in for Resident Resource Manager as needed
· Creates annual activities for National Disability Employment Awareness Month each
October as well as Vocational Staff Week
· Assists in ensuring that residents on work lists are present each day
· Actively participate in Vocational Meetings
· Leads bi-annual planning meeting with each working resident
· Develops annual budget for Vocare
· Meets with work Supervisors to provide training and support including safety in-services, and resident support
· Interviews potential new supervisors
· Assists and/or conducts time studies to establish resident pay codes
· Drives a 15-passenger van on campus, acts as a bus monitor as needed

Minimum Qualifications:
· 21 years of age
· Bachelor’s degree in health services field with 2 years’ experience, Master’s degree
preferred
· 3 years of management experience
· Valid driver license for state of residency, ability to drive 15 passenger van

Must be able to audibly converse with residents, all staff, residents’ families, and other professionals providing services, both in person and on the phone
Must be able to apply case management skills to ensure quality programming for individual residents
Ability to interpret assessment results, develop a training course of action, and communicate the course of action to the family and the direct care staff
Ability to determine individual needs and coordinate and secure services
Must understand the importance of and maintain a high level of confidentiality
Must be able to function within a team environment
Ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 30 pounds
Ability to stand, walk, and sit in one place - occasionally may need to squat and/or kneel
Ratio of walking-standing/sitting; 50%/50%
Manual dexterity is necessary for paper/computer work
Requires functional vision and hearing
Work is performed in environmentally controlled work area 60% of the time
40% of work time is spent in warehouse conditions, outdoors, or in a horticulture setting
