As a Bar Manager, your role will be to oversee and maintain the operations of our bar, ensuring exceptional customer service and a top-notch guest experience. You will be responsible for managing a team of bartenders and servers, creating and implementing bar policies and procedures, and monitoring and controlling inventory and expenses. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in bar management and possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. - Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Have knowledge of food and beverage service with at least 2 years of FOH Operations.
- Possess basic math skills.
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (8 hours or more).
- Can reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
- Capable of effectively communicating with our guests and other staff members.
- Competency in resource management, inventory control and basic accounting principals.
- Knowledge of personnel management and training methods.
- Extensive working knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Proficiency with computer Point-of-Sale Software.
- Knowledge of local and state regulations related to alcohol service and health code compliance.
Responsibilities
- Complete understanding and enforcement of all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs.
- Ensure all guests receive welcoming, responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times.
- Address queries and complaints, escalating to Management Staff when necessary.
- Oversight of customer flow within the Front of House Area.
- Achievement of company objectives in sales, service, quality, and facility appearance, including sanitation and cleanliness.
- Control cash and receipts in accordance with restaurant policies.
- Make employment and termination decisions.
- Fill in where needed to maintain guest service standards and operational efficiency.
- Continuously develop Front of House Staff for advancement and in-company opportunities.
- Prepare required paperwork, including forms, reports, and schedules, in an organized and timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with company policies on employee performance reviews.
- Understand and comply with all federal, state, county, and local regulations regarding health, safety, and labor.
- Assist event coordinator with event planning as needed.
- Fulfill Manager on Duty shifts and responsibilities when required.
- Control the restaurant's atmosphere through lighting, music, entertainment, etc.
- Assist with special events, leagues, private parties, banquets, and catering.
- Recruit staff as needed for the Restaurant and Bar.
- Responsible for monthly Liquor, Beer, and Non-Alcoholic Inventory.
- Order Liquor, Beer, and Non-Alcoholic Beverages and meet with Sales Representatives as needed.
