The Barron Center, where kindness matters, has an opportunity for an experienced registered nurse to join a truly excellent, dedicated professional nursing management team. The Barron Center is owned and operated by the City of Portland and is Maine’s largest skilled nursing facility.
Duties include:
- Onboarding all new hires
- Development and delivery of education training, including a CNA training program.
- Coordinating with outside education providers to schedule and place clinical students.
- Electronic medical records training
- Serve as Quality Assurance Performance Improvement Chair.
- Development of and conducting audits in various departments, and assists with development of performance improvement plans.
- Includes supervisor on-call rotation.
Compensation:
- $76,021 - $88,122 (based on experience)

Requirements:
- Graduation from an approved school of nursing with current Maine RN license
- Gerontology preferred
- Management experience in long-term care preferred
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment physical exam.
