Customer Service Representative (Part-time/24 - 28 hours per week)

Our preferred schedule: Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Our fast-growing crew is always looking for bright, talented, innovative people to join us. We are currently looking for a qualified Customer Service Representative to join our team, primarily responsible for acting as a liaison between customers and The Black Dog.

Customer Service Representative Required Skills and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 1-2 years’ prior retail or customer service experience
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in both Microsoft Office and overall computer skills
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Demonstrate sales and service-oriented personality
• Must be able to move up to 25 lbs. frequently
• Flexible schedule

Customer Service Representative Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and ascertain reason for calling
• Answer customer questions and provide information about products and services
• Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer's concern, determining the cause of the problem, and selecting and explaining the best solution
• Assist with placement of orders, cancellations, order changes, refunds, or exchanges
• Be aware of the current Black Dog website presence at all times; have website and product knowledge of current categories, launched product and promotions
• Work with FedEx to correct shipping errors, track lost packages and file claims
• Work with store managers to locate backorders and customer special orders
• Have a working knowledge of the fulfillment operations process in order to provide assistance during high volume seasons
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
• Become proficient in all platforms including Shopify, Shipworks, and Outlook
