Position Overview
A Blood Drive Promoter/Donor Recruiter uses sales and customer service skills to recruit potential blood donors at promotional, community, and corporate blood drives. Responsible for approaching people while a blood drive is in progress, sharing the mission of The Blood Connection, and ultimately, recruiting people to donate blood. Provides excellent and enthusiastic customer service to enhance the donor experience.
Essential Functions
Working On-Site at Blood Drives:
Provides support by actively recruiting donors on site at assigned blood drives – able to approach people, explain the need for blood donations, and ultimately encourage them to donate at the blood drive to successfully meet or exceed blood drive goals
Sets up necessary signage, table, tent, and blood drive event materials as needed to properly advertise the blood drive
Reports results and any pertinent information throughout the duration and at the end of each blood drive worked to the Donor Resources Manager
Customer Service:
Displays the highest quality of customer service to all sponsors, patrons, donors, and co-workers
Recognizes that their primary mission is to help blood donors fulfill their desire to become benefactors of community service through blood donation while providing exemplary customer service
Facilitates our mission by providing information and logistical support to the donor group contacts
Miscellaneous:
Other duties as required or assigned
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED; some college preferred
Prior customer service experience with the public, door-to-door sales, or entry level sales experience preferred
Valid Driver’s License with no major infractions and dependable transportation
Ability to drive personal or company vehicle at various times of day, including evenings
Available for work any/all days of the week
Ability to communicate effectively, tactfully, and courteously to patrons, donors, sponsors, and co-workers
