The Buck Hotel, Wedding and Event center located in Lower Bucks County, PA is currently recruiting for a full-time Banquet Sales Manager/Event Coordinator. This dynamic individual will have responsibilities including hiring and training of event front of house staff. This position requires a stable personality with a "hands on" approach and is responsible for all events including large weddings, corporate events and bar/bat mitzvahs. The candidate will have a proven track record of team building and leadership, superior service instincts, and outstanding communication skills to effectively deal with guests and staff.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
*Works with the Executive Chef to coordinate requirements for banquet events.
* Hires, trains, schedules and reviews all department staff.
* Checks quality of work and monitors improvements and performance
* Ensures that the staff is in adherence to the company's uniform/grooming standards at all times.
* Directs the proper set-up and break-down of all banquet functions.
* Ensures employees and guest safety in the set-up and arrangement of banquet functions.
* Directs the proper service of food and beverage in accordance to contractual agreements.
* Conducts pre-function meetings with staff to ensure the proper service and requirements of banquet functions.
* Greets and maintains communication with the customer contact for payment; ensures that all payments are processed.
* Records and reports, monthly inventories of all banquet supplies, purchases additional supplies with the approval of the Food and Beverage Manager.
* Maintains the cleanliness of all banquet rooms, service areas, and equipment.
* Direct and ensure the proper handling, usage and storage of all banquet equipment and supplies.
* Handles complaints and comments from guests appropriately.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
* Three to Five years of experience in a Hospitality/Catering environment
REQUIREMENTS
* be physically able to lift, reach, bend and stoop.
* Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
* Must be willing to work a variety of day/night and weekend shifts.

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
