Job Description: As an Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our success by managing and growing our sales territory in the Southeast (North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia). Here's what you'll be doing:
- Build Strong Connections: Foster and maintain relationships with our valued customers, both new and existing, to deeply understand their needs and contribute to their success.
- Identify Growth Opportunities: Visit customers to uncover growth prospects within our product portfolio.
- Exceed Targets: Be accountable for meeting and exceeding sales and margin targets for your territory.
- Innovate: Seek out new customers and applications for our existing products and drive sales of new offerings.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute account-specific strategies and key account plans.
- Stay Informed: Keep our rolling forecasts for the territory updated and participate in sales meetings and presentations.
- Report and Forecast: Maintain timely and efficient sales, activity, and call reports while assisting in the annual marketing plan.
- Represent: Be our ambassador at industry-related associations and events.
Requirements: We're looking for candidates who possess the following:
- Educational Background: While a degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Polymer Science is preferred, it's not mandatory.
- Sales Experience: A minimum of 3 years in specialty chemicals sales, particularly in compounding and masterbatch business, is highly preferred.
- Customer Focus: Strong technical customer support and customer engagement skills are a must.
- Negotiation Skills: The ability to confidently close deals is essential.
- Analytical Mindset: Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills are a plus.
- Communication Skills: Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills at all levels.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint is required.
- Self-Motivated: We're looking for individuals who are confident, self-driven, and results-oriented, with a strategic mindset.
- Willingness to Travel: Expect up to 70% travel within the territory.
- Work Authorization: Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
