The Pastry Chef Instructor will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in the art and science of pastry and baking to students enrolled in our culinary programs. Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development: Design and develop curriculum for pastry and baking courses, ensuring alignment with industry standards and trends. Create lesson plans, course outlines, and materials that engage students and facilitate effective learning.
Instructional Delivery: Conduct hands-on and theoretical classes in pastry techniques, baking principles, and dessert presentation.
Demonstrate expertise in a variety of pastry styles, including classic, contemporary, and international baking.
Student Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to students, fostering their culinary skills, creativity, and professional development. Offer constructive feedback on student work and assist in their personal and career growth.
Industry Engagement: Stay current with industry trends, techniques, and innovations in the pastry and baking field.
Establish and maintain connections with industry professionals to enhance networking opportunities for students.
Facility Management:Oversee the pastry kitchen and ensure it is well-maintained, organized, and equipped with the necessary tools and ingredients.
Collaborate with the culinary school staff to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Pastry Chef Instructor with a minimum of 5 years in the culinary industry.
- Culinary degree from an accredited institution.
- Strong knowledge of pastry arts, baking techniques, and dessert presentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to excel in their culinary endeavors.
- Flexibility to adapt to various learning styles and personalities.
