We are currently looking for a Full Time Active Aging Fitness Coach to join our Active Aging team located at the Abbott Miller Bldg.
Summary:
The Active Aging Center Fitness Coach will create, deploy and maintain the initiatives and programs to empower Active Aging Center members to achieve holistic wellness.
Responsibilities:
- Must understand the connection between the financial, fitness, nutrition, well-being and clinical aspects of health
- Support the effective delivery and maintenance of individualized instruction to empower Active Aging Center members to achieve their fitness goals
- Must embrace, support and maintain commitment to serving with excellence all Active Aging Center members as well as tribal officials and other visitors to our business in order to achieve optimal results of Active Aging Center members
- Utilize custom applications developed and specifically designed for the Active Aging Center wellness initiative and programs
- Responsible for the assessment, tracking, maintenance of and updates to the Active Aging Center member goal(s)
- Responsible for communicating with Active Aging Center members through any form(s) of communication necessary to encourage member engagement (email, text, video communications, phone calls, in-person communication and/or video conferencing, etc.)
- Employs various strength and condition methods to develop exercise regimens for members
- Utilizes custom applications developed and specifically designed for the UL wellness iniative and programs
- Responsible for the assessment, tracking, maintenance of and updates to the UL member goals
- Creates daily, weekly, monthly or specialized need exercise schedules
- Provides ongoing instruction, education, guidance and coaching for employees or clients who are participating in the UL program
- Performs vital signs, cholesterol, glucose testing and BMI if necessary.
- Develops education health and wellness curriculum that is unique an engaging for clients and employees
- Provide on-going instruction, education, guidance, coaching and support for clients who participate in programs developed for Active Aging Center and/or Health Engagement
- Assist in the development educational health and wellness curriculum that is unique and engaging for our clients; this material will be developed for online applications as well as distributed in conjunction with our programs and initiatives
- Performs all other duties as assigned

Education:

- High School, GED or Equivalent

- Bachelors Degree in directly related field

- Bachelor’s degree in physical education, kinesiology, health or other related field
Credentials:
Essential:
- Pass general background check
- Standard Driver's License
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR)
- Certified Personal Trainer
- CN Core Leadership Level 1
Essential:
- Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification, or obtained within two (2) months of employment Current Blood Borne Pathogens certification, or obtained within two (2) months of employment
- Accredited personal training certification (OR) obtained within one (1) year of employment
- Completion of level one Core Leadership Training within 12 months of the hire or promotion date
