Description
Lead a team of HR recruiters and specialists in recruiting, advertising, interviewing and hiring.
Maintain an employment Chickasaw Citizen database and work closely with all job training programs within the Chickasaw Nation {Education Department, CDS, Chickasaw Institute, Intern Program, and School-to Work).
Attend high school, college and vocational career days and visits with Chickasaw students.
The focus will be directing/counseling them toward college or vocational programs that will support the needs of the Chickasaw Nation.
Create an environment that implements best practices and promotes continuous improvement and a strong understanding of our hiring preference and mission.
Work as an advocate for Chickasaw students.
The recruiters will be challenged with finding job opportunities for graduating students and making sure they are considered for professional positions with the Nation.
Develop working relationships with campus based Native American programs
Representatives to aid in recruiting recent and upcoming Chickasaw graduates.
Will work in conjunction with the education division to main database of college and vocational students. Will work diligently to align graduates with upcoming opportunities within the Nation.
Interview potential candidates and make appropriate referrals to hiring managers to assist in obtaining employment for selected candidates.
Will review daily applications and resumes of Chickasaw citizens. If the applicant is not selected for the position they applied for the recruiter will work continue to work with them to find suitable employment within the Nation.
Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants, analyzing responses, verifying references, and comparing qualifications to job requirements.
Will identify new and creative means for recruiting and finding high quality Chickasaw candidates for open positions.
Must stay familiar with Chickasaw Nation concepts, policies and procedures.
Post vacant positions on Employment Center, newspaper advertisements, with professional organizations, on the Internet, and in other position appropriate venues.
Other duties will be assigned to meet department needs.
