Job Title: Spa Attendant
Department: Spa
Reports To: Spa Locker Room Manager
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Approved By: Director of Wellness

Summary:
Greets, escorts, and assists members and guests with any questions regarding spa and salon services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Checks steam, sauna, and whirlpool temperatures every 15 minutes to ensure safe operation and use.
- Maintains cleanliness of all spa/salon areas to include the locker rooms.
- Cleans and organizes counters, mirrors, and showers.
- Stocks and replenishes facility with supplies and products such as fresh water, towels, etc.)
- Follows proper procedures for closing and opening.
- Responds to all member and guest concerns in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner.
- Respect member and guest confidentiality.
- Ensures that all amenities on the counter, in showers, and restrooms are full and refills products as necessary.
- Properly communicates with Spa Receptionist on a regular basis during shift to ensure a smooth experience for all spa guests. Wears club provided radio.
- Knows emergency procedures and is ready to act in the event of an emergency.
- Communicates with members, co-workers, management, and the general public in a courteous and professional manner.
- Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
- Exhibits and maintains a professional demeanor to reflect a positive image of The Club at Admirals Cove.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Spa Locker Room Manager and Director of Wellness.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong organizational skills.
- Requires excellent customer service skills.
- Previous club experience preferred.
- Ability to verbally communicate well in English and in writing.
- Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions in English.
- Ability to interact professionally and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, co-workers, and members.
- Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The job does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) and three to six months related experience and/or training in spa or wellness related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to communicate well in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of members and employees of the organization.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word, Outlook, and Reservation software.
Certificates and Licenses:
CPR & AED certification.
