Overview
Selling tour tickets is just one of the many tasks of a Wilds admissions associate. As one of the first Wilds team members our guests encounter, help guests plan their day by explaining our different experiences and helping them plan their trip of a lifetime!
Responsibilities
- Greet and provide all guests of the Wilds with prompt friendly service, describing options including membership to our guests allowing them to tailor their visit for optimum satisfaction.
- To execute accurate sales transactions working closely with the Manager of Guest Services to insure all paperwork is in order and clearly convey necessary information.
- To maintain work area, including restocking and cleaning, some heavy lifting required.
- Assist with lunch breaks, bus loading and dispatching as needed.
- To answer and correctly transfer incoming calls and accurately take and deliver messages.
- To learn about the Wilds and the species here in order to accurately answer guest questions.
- Strives to further the mission of the organization and supports the Wilds, Zoo, Zoombezi Bay and Safari and Golf Club.
- Posted schedule may be subject to change based on operational needs such as weather condition, guest attendance and department needs.
Qualifications
- 16 years of age or older.
- Customer service experience considered a plus.
- Positive, professional attitude. Good math, communication and keyboarding skills.
- Adapt easily to changing circumstances in a busy work place.
- Good decision making skills.
- Ability to operate a two-way radio.
- Able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays from May through October required.
- Communicate well both verbally and in writing required.
- Plan and organize work in an efficient and cost-effective manner and without direct supervision required.
- Provide excellent guest service by positively interacting with guests and uphold the Make it G.R.E.A.T. standards required.
- Maintain cooperative working relationships with all Wilds/Zoo team members and contacts regarding company business required.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures including but not limited to safety protocols.
- Possession of a valid Ohio motor vehicle operator’s license and a good driving record required.
- Successfully complete an employment drug screening and criminal background check required.
