JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for all aspects of collections including staff scheduling, compliance, operations, staff and donor safety. Responsible for the development and growth of staff to create an environment of engagement. Accountable for ensuring operations occur in a manner that is compliant with regulations and standards. Ensures that donors and sponsors have an exceptional customer experience and capable of addressing problems when customer service was lacking.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED)

  • Responsible for the oversight of mobile operations and donor center operations ensuring a safe environment for blood donors and staff.
  • Collaborates and communicates with colleagues in Donor Recruitment and Telerecruitment to obtain goals including whole blood, automation, first time donors and donor retention targets.
  • Responds to and resolves deviations for procedures in an effective manner.
  • Fosters an environment of staff growth and advancement. Promote a productive and engaged work environment.
  • Ensures the evaluation of donor concerns, compliments, and complaints in a timely and positive manner.
  • Actively manages the department budget to ensure staff have tools and equipment needed while meeting budgetary expectations.
  • Ensure adequate staffing to accomplish CBC goals and directives. Ensure staff are trained, competent and available to accomplish daily work.
  • Evaluates data to ensure collection goals for whole blood and automation are being met. Identify trends and drive improvements.
  • Responsible for accomplishment of departmental objectives including assigned goals, operational productivity targets, staffing levels and compliance.
  • Evaluate new and current processes and procedures. Assist with maintaining all SOPs necessary to meet FDA, AABB and other regulatory agencies.

JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.

Experience:

  • 1-3 years management experience required.
  • Previous blood center experience and medical background desired.

Skills:

  • Excellent leadership, staff development and team building skills.
  • Experience leading others.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and effective time management.
  • Ability to think independently to solve complex problems.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with all departments of the organization.

Team member may occasionally be required to lift objects or materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
