Summary: Performs custodial services and minor repairs for assigned site(s); assists in sanitation control and site safety and security.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Performs cleaning and janitorial duties, maintenance, and minor repair work on a daily basis.
- Performs various custodial duties including mopping and waxing floors, cleaning window sills, vacuuming and shampooing carpets, cleaning bathrooms and baseboards and emptying trash, cleans and washes inside of windows and doors on a daily basis.
- Keeps janitors room neat and orderly.
- Maintains an adequate level of custodial supplies. Reports supply orders to the Help Desk Coordinator as needed.
- Maintains exterior grounds; cuts grass and weeds, mows and trims lawn and hedges, insures all trash is picked up and discarded appropriately.
- Sanitize facility with appropriate supplies as scheduled.
- Performs a visual check of potential repair issues using Maintenance Checklist weekly. Submits completed checklist to Help Desk Coordinator weekly.
- Cleans snow, ice and debris from entrances, sidewalks and exterior walkways as needed.
- Changes light bulbs, tubes, hangs pictures, assembles/moves office furniture and equipment as directed.
- Receives, stores and distributes delivered supplies.
- Maintains custodial equipment and recommends repairs to Maintenance-Transportation Manager as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: : Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet Explorer, and basic computer skills.
