The Country Playhouse Club in Enumclaw is looking for a dynamic, positive, energetic and knowledgeable School Age Program Director for our center. This position works closely with the Preschool Director, which runs a half-day program when the school age students are not present, to oversee the day to day operations; billing, enrolling new students, invoicing, marketing, conducting parent tours, lesson planning, communications with families, supervise the classes, manage faculty, assist in classrooms, perform daily school van runs, oversee safety and mentor the faculty. The perfect candidate will work side by side with the Preschool Director as a team to provide a positive, encouraging, and supportive working and learning environment.
Must be COVID-19 vaccinated, or provide proof of a religious or medical exemption.
Responsibilities and requirements include, but are not limited to:
Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have a minimum of 2-3 years working as an administrator, Director or Program Supervisor.
- Have at least 2 years of management experience.
- Have experience with classroom management, and the ability to maintain control and stability within the classroom in a positive and nurturing manner.
- Communicate with parents in a professional and respectful manner, creating a positive rapport.
- A minimum of an Associates degree in ECE or Education is required, OR be in the process of obtaining a degree and/or CDA and certifications.
- Work/collaborate with the Preschool Director of the school.
- Must of a good driving record in order to drive the school vans.
Responsibilities include:
- Mentoring current faculty.
- Conduct the Basic Orientation for new hires and retraining as needed for existing faculty.
- Coordinates and collaborates with the Preschool Director on planning faculty training days and other professional development opportunities. Helps plan and conduct special events with assistance from other faculty members as needed.
- Maintain the inventory of supplies, and ensure all the teachers have the necessary tools to perform their job duties.
- Maintain and order art and craft supplies as needed, and maintain current supply to ensure the teachers have the proper tools needed to perform their job duties.
- Perform periodic observations of the teachers and report back to the Director any issues or continued training that needs to be done. Create monthly reports detailing areas of strengths and weaknesses, and how to facilitate improvement strategies.
- Assist the teachers with the day to day operations.
- Ability to be flexible with scheduling and filling in for others.
- Plan and implement a Summer Camp program, complete with activities and field trips.
- Model exemplary professionalism and work ethics.
- Seek and report to the faculty information regarding upcoming professional development opportunities, free or paid.
- Follow and enforce DCYF laws and licensing rules.
- Ensure all faculty are up to date with DCYF requirements
- Conduct performance reviews.
- Willing to perform other duties, if required, to ensure a safe, healthy, nurturing environment for children and families, including cleaning, cooking, driving.
- Grocery Runs
- Work in collaboration with The Country Playhouse Learning Center, our early leaning center a few blocks away. Both centers work together very closely and assist each other.
- Order and deliver groceries for both locations.
- Assist children with activities of daily life and basic needs (restroom use, diapering, hand washing).
- Model and assist faculty on appropriate interactions with children, parents and other staff.
- Appropriately supervise children while keeping them safe at all times, creating and maintaining an environment that is clean, organized, and safe for all children.
- Assist parents with questions or concerns.
- Refrain from engaging in interactions with parents via social media platforms.
- This position requires a strong, independent, goal-oriented person with helpful ways and excellent communication skills.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
