Cake Decorator/Baker

The Croissanterie is an award winning bakery, cafe located in Little Rock, dedicated to crafting the finest croissants and menu items that delight our customers' taste buds. With a commitment to quality and creativity, we're seeking an experienced Cake Decorator/Baker to join our team and help us continue to elevate our offerings to new heights.

Serving breakfast, lunch, and brunch;

Offering catering;

Suppling wholesale across Central Arkansas;

Ticketed multi-course monthly supper club dinner;

Teaching community education classes.

We began selling our homemade croissants and other baked goods at farmers markets in 2019. We opened our food truck in November of 2020 with tremendous support from the community. In November of 2021 we leased our first brick and mortar. We opened location #2 in downtown Little Rock in August 2024, with plans for a large production kitchen to open in early 2025. We are growing and seeking individuals to grow with us!

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a Cake Decorator/Baker at The Croissanterie. These team members will play a crucial role in our daily operations, ensuring that our baked goods are crafted with precision, passion, and attention to detail. Your responsibilities will include:

- Preparing and baking a variety of pastries, cakes and other baked goods according to our recipes and standards

- Upholding high standards of food safety and cleanliness in the kitchen area

- Assisting with inventory management, including stocking ingredients and supplies

- Collaborating with our team to develop new recipes and seasonal offerings

- Contributing to a positive and supportive work environment by sharing your expertise and knowledge with colleagues

Qualifications

We're looking for a skilled Cake Decorator/Baker who is passionate about their craft and dedicated to creating exceptional baked goods.

The ideal candidate will possess:

- Previous experience as a Cake Decorator or Baker in a professional kitchen setting

- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, including cake decorating

- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately

- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and consistency

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while upholding our standards of excellence

- Creativity and a willingness to contribute ideas and innovations to our menu

- Excellent teamwork and communication skills

- Availability to work early day shifts, including weekends and holidays

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
