This job will allow you to build and hone your skills in a variety of concentrations including sales, event planning, customer service, logistics and public relations. Your work will allow cancer families to be able to honor their children while also funding vital pediatric cancer research. Looking for a candidate with a strong organizational background and a willingness to learn, work on some weekends and occasional travel.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist our chapters and donors with the creation of events.
- Organize and manage all aspects of projects and events.
- Brainstorm new ideas and opportunities for fundraisers and events.
- Execute an event from planning stage to event day logistics.
- Donation procurement and calling businesses for donations of services and product.
- Recruit businesses for third party events and partnerships.
- Manage support requests from chapters and providing resources requested.
- Maintain a positive attitude and be a strong team player even in pressure situations.
- Does require travel or work approximately 20 weekends a year to events around the country.
- Provide on-site event setup, logistical support and pack-up. Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Understand and adhere to timelines and organizational guidelines.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Applicants should display enthusiasm for our mission and assisting families in continuing their child’s legacy.
- Willingness to reach out to businesses to get them involved. Sales experience and prospecting appreciated.
- Skill in speaking in public to large crowds and have excellent communication skills.
- Applicants should have strong time management skills and a strong eye for detail.
- Applicants should possess the ability to work in a fast- paced environment managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Applicants should be highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Project management experience a must.
- Experience in event management is a plus but willing to train the right person.

Pay based on experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
