Job description

• The DAM Shop (Located at the Elk Rapids Marina) is ready to fill out our crew for the 2023 summer season. This is a seasonal position in a fun, lively environment. We’re looking for team players, willing to bounce between the front of house, back of house & help anywhere on the property as needed. We strive to make every interaction with our customers a memorable experience.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers
• Washing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking utensils and storing the equipment at the end of shifts
• Taking out trash, sweeping, moping and all other standard cleaning procedures
• Preparation of dressings, sauces, and other condiments
• Cash Handling
• Answering phones & taking orders.
• Assisting with stocking
• Work inside the retail store, ringing up guests and taking orders
• Preparing specialty coffee using commercial coffee equipment
• Collaborate with other team members to keep the sales floor area clean and organized at all times
• Develop solutions for customers by listening to their needs and recommending the appropriate products

Skills and Qualifications

• Positive attitude
• Reliable

The ability to work on your feet for most of the day and lift 50 pounds at a time.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, preforming multiple tasks simultaneously
• Self-Motivated
• Ability to read and follow recipes
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays
• Excellent verbal and written communication skill
• Cooking experience a plus, not required

Compensation:

Per Hour Tips: Negotiable

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
