What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Manager position at The Dance Center?
The Dance Center is looking for a dynamic team leader to manage the operations for the front office of our busy dance studio. The ideal candidate is skilled in the art of customer service, thrives on organization, and has experience managing business operations. We’re seeking someone who is community-driven with excellent communication skills, takes initiative to own tasks and thinks strategically, while also being able to collaborate with and supervise a small team.
This position is approximately 30 hours a week, Mondays through Fridays with an occasional Saturday morning. Hours are 1-7 pm, with some flexibility, and include administrative work in addition to being present for customer service during afternoon classes. This role is open for an immediate start date and includes training with current office manager to transition to full office manager.
Job Responsibilities
- Organize office operations & procedures
- Manage relationships with vendors and service providers
- Assign and monitor clerical, administrative and secretarial responsibilities & tasks among front desk staff
- Supervise 2-3 front desk staff - responsible for recruiting, training, supporting & evaluating front desk staff
- Participate in the planning and execution of dance performance events
- Ensure security, integrity and confidentiality of data
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints
- Monitor and maintain office supplies inventory
- Involvement in duties outside office, such as performances, shows and various in-studio dance events

Pay is negotiable based on experience and skills. Candidates with past experience in event planning, customer service, and administrative excellence in an academic environment are highly encouraged to apply.
