The Design Group, Arkansas’ LEADER in multicultural marketing seeks qualified candidate:
Position: Public Relations Account Executive
The Design Group (TDG) is Arkansas’ LEADER in multicultural marketing, as well as one of the South’s fastest growing communications firms. If you’re a thought leader, task master, and enjoy working in a team environment, we need your expertise to drive amazing client relations and increase relevance, credibility, and trust among various publics for the brands we serve.
We’re looking for a public relations account executive with at least 3-5 years of experience who will demonstrate ownership in project and account management, strong follow-through and writing skills and the ability to pivot when priorities shift. PR AEs are at the heart of a successful account. They must have the ability to be part media relations expert, part strategic thinker and part client manager. The Design Group’s culture is flexible and team oriented. The position will report to the Director of Public and Media Relations while being accountable to the entire TDG team.
The pace is fast, and the work can be challenging, but making the impossible possible is so rewarding.

Job-Specific Requirements
- 3-5 years experience in the communications field
- BA/BS in Public Relations, Marketing or Communications, or equivalent work experience required
- Possess knowledge of local and state media landscape; understanding of Little Rock DMA
- Possess strong communication skills with the ability to express ideas concisely and clearly, both orally and in writing
- Possess the ability to think critically and independently to solve problems related to meeting client objectives
- Possess knowledge of and demonstrated ability to manage social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, SnapChat, Twitter)
- Possess proficiency in standard computer programs (MS Office Suite – Word, Excel, Project Manager, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Possess proficiency in email marketing platforms (MailChimp, Constant Contact)
- Have strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others, clients and media
- Demonstrate the ability to consistently achieve high client service standards and manage multiple client relationships through any given assignment
- Possess the drive necessary to meet or exceed client expectations
- Possess the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities:
- Develop Public Relations plans that include the use of traditional and social media
- Manage client social media accounts
- Write and edit news releases, letters to the editor, customer letters and emails, feature stories, executive speeches and correspondence
- Build and manage relationships with media partners, clients and colleagues
- Attend client meetings and present when appropriate
- Use research and analytics to drive planning and messaging
- Follow and improve upon established processes
- Provide varied support of senior communications/content/PR
- Proactively manage day-to-day responsibilities on assigned projects
