Job Description:
The Dexter Hotel is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Night Auditor to join our team. As a crucial member of the hotel staff, the Night Auditor plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions and maintaining the security of the property during the overnight hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct nightly audits of hotel financial transactions, including room charges, payments, and other revenue sources.
- Verify the accuracy of guest folios and billing information, resolving any discrepancies as needed.
- Prepare and distribute daily financial reports to hotel management and relevant departments.
- Process late check-ins and early check-outs, ensuring seamless guest experiences.
- Monitor and maintain the security of the hotel premises during the night shift.
- Address guest inquiries and requests during the overnight hours, providing exceptional customer service.
- Assist with front desk duties as needed, including check-ins, check-outs, and guest assistance.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry, is desirable.
- Proficiency in accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
