What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Chef position at The Dublin Pub?
The Dublin Pub has been in Morristown for over 50 years, and it's getting a brand new face lift! We have done a complete renovation of the restaurant, stripping it down to the studs, and bringing the space into 2024 while keeping the classic Irish charm. We are planning to do the same with the menu and quality of the food.
We are looking for a Head Chef who can handle the day to day operations of the restaurant. The responsibilities will include:
- Working on the line as needed
- Executing the menu created by the executive chef while maintaining quality standards
- Managing food waste and keep a food cost that is in line with the benchmark set by upper management
- Placing daily food orders
- Maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, storage, and prep areas
- Taking inventory of all food items based on the inventory schedule set by upper management
- Scheduling, hiring, and training the cooks and dishwashers while keeping a labor cost that is in line with the benchmark set by upper management
- Creating weekly specials that fit the identity of the restaurant

Some previous kitchen management experience is required. Speaking Spanish is a plus, but not required.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
