What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Dietitian position at The Emily Program Brand?
This is a full-time position, M-F - hours 8am-4pm. This is for PHP Programing for adolescents.
Position Summary:
The Program Dietitian provides nutrition therapy to clients in intensive programming by conducting nutrition assessments, developing individualized care plans, monitoring on-going medical/nutrition conditions and client progress, as well as providing nutrition education to improve client nutrition state and relationship with food. The Program Dietitian works closely with the multidisciplinary team in developing case conceptualization and providing coordinated eating disorder care to clients and their families/communities of support.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides individualized nutrition therapy to all assigned patients.
- Conducts nutrition assessments for all assigned patients in accordance with policy and procedures and in compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Provides group nutrition education as assigned.
- Supports plating and provides active meal coaching/support for clients in Therapeutic Supported Meals as assigned.
- Contributes to multidisciplinary case conceptualization and treatment planning.
- Provides nutrition specific transition/aftercare planning for all patients including communication with internal and external dietitians to ensure coordination of care.
- Documents all nutrition care in a clear, concise, and professional manner using the EHR, in compliance with policies and procedures and regulatory standards.
- Professionally communicates and works collectively with eh multidisciplinary team.
- Participates in site based and national Quality Assurance initiatives
- Maintains clinical records in compliance with Accanto policies and regulatory standards
- Participates in meetings as assigned.
- Participates in administrative and clinical supervision as scheduled and seeks additional supervision when needed.
- Engages in self-evaluation process, seeking feedback regarding own practice, from clients, peers, professional colleagues, and others.
- Communicates with UR team to provide clinical data necessary for insurance continued stay reviews
- Maintains up-to-date nutrition skill and knowledge of advancements in eating disorders assessment and treatment, best practices, and resources.
- Maintains at all times the confidentiality of former and current Accanto clients’ protected health information, as directed by state and federal law, and Accanto policy.
- Maintains at all times the confidentiality of proprietary information, which includes but is not limited to, trade secrets, sensitive company information, and generally any company information not made available to the public.
- Completes all required training.
- Participates in the training of dietetic interns/students by acting as support to site internship preceptors throughout the year as assigned.
- Collaborates with Nutrition and Culinary Manager and nutrition team when needing or providing clinical coverage.
- Maintains clinical productivity in alignment with organizational and programmatic expectations.
- May provide coverage to other programs as needed.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Registered Dietitian credential required.
- Current license in the state of employment (when a state has licensure for dietitians) required
- ServSafe Food Handler certification required
- Additional food safety certification as required by the state or municipality
- One year of clinical and/or eating disorders experience preferred
Competencies:

Workplace Environment:
