The FNB Community Bank, Vandalia, IL

The FNB Community Bank is the only locally owned community bank in Bond, Fayette and Marion

Counties. Established in 1865, we currently have 7 locations in the following communities: Vandalia,

Patoka, Ramsey, Greenville, & Mulberry Grove. We have a Mortgage Loan Officer position available in our main office located in Vandalia.

Objective:

The Mortgage Loan Officer will develop relationships and solicit business from current customers, referrals, and walk-in customers. This position will accept the application, originate and close mortgage and consumer loans for the Bank. The objective is to assist borrowers in evaluating their opportunity to borrow money to invest in a home.

Essential Duties:

1. Analyze applicants' needs, financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine the feasibility of granting loans.

2. Explain to customers the different types of loans and credit options that are available, as well as the terms of those services.

3. Stay up-to-date with law/regulation changes.
4. Answer questions and concerns customers have about existing accounts.
5. Approve, process, and originate a mortgage and consumer loans.
6. Collect past-due loans when necessary.
7. Calculate debt, income, ability to repay, value, etc.
8. Market the Bank's products to customers and expand our relationship with them.
9. Maximize bank profitability through appropriate pricing of new loan originations, fee income and selling of all Bank products and services.
10. Develop business contacts and customers through networking activities.
11. Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

Close vision is needed to complete essential job duties.

Education and Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or related field OR equivalent experience
2. Ability to obtain NMLS
3. 3 years of banking experience preferred
4. Successful experience in sales and production is preferred

Work Environment:

This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. Travel outside of the office may occur throughout the week.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
