Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Physically walking the property to remove litter, debris, cigarette butts, chewing gum, and any other items littering the grounds. Picking up, sweeping, or blowing with gas-blower any clippings or debris. Using a blower to keep sidewalks and walking areas clean of loose grass and brush.
- Removing weeds, suckers, and other unwanted growth from landscaping and flower beds.
- Removes unsightly trash and debris from public areas by regularly inspecting grounds, drains, for debris; raking, sweeping, and bagging leaves, debris, dirt, and trash from sidewalks, parking lots, and transporting the trash to the dumpster on a daily basis.
- Assists in preventing accidents resulting from impediments on walkways by raking, sweeping, and shoveling on an as-needed basis.
- Transferring trash and debris left outside of the dumpster into the dumpster. Keeping dumpster doors closed.
- Prepares outdoor locations for use by visitors and vendors, as needed.
- Contributes to the overall success of the community by performing all other related duties as assigned.
Education, Experience, and Other Requirements
- High school graduate or GED
- Must be age 18 or older
- Experience in grounds maintenance (lawn care and plant care)
