JOB SUMMARY
The Digital Development Manager (DDM) will support GST's vision to assist our dealer network with delivering a best in class online customer experience. Specifically, the DDM position is responsible for building proactive partnerships with GST dealers related to improving online lead handling, documenting process maps, optimizing website performance, assisting with tier 3 digital marketing, and deriving insights from digital analytics. This includes the launch, support, training and sustainment of the Toyota Smartpath program and other digital retailing initiatives and participating in the development, launch and support of GST's internet lead handling program. The DDM is accountable for developing tools, training and working with various partners and vendors in these areas of responsibility that lead to the improved performance of our dealer network. This position is under the leadership of (and reports to) the Sr. Manager, Field Operations, and will work closely with the GST Field team to launch initiatives, support and sustain dealer performance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
INTERNET DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (IDP)
- Assist in the development of a GST lead handling program intended to improve dealer processes and performance related to online lead handling. This includes identifying roles and responsibilities that can be completed by field team personnel and/or 3rd party support vendors.
- Launch IDP program at dealers identified as tier 1 opportunity dealers by AGM and DSMs. This includes assessments, identifying opportunities and gaps for performance, process mapping, recommending and implementing needed changes and training sessions.
- Assist DSMs with IDP launches at identified tier 2 opportunity dealers. Support functions include training sessions and assistance with other support and sustainment activities identified by DSM and/or dealer management.
- Conduct offsite and remote workshops and training related to internet lead handlings to support dealer managers and GST internal associates.
- Develop tools and reports specific to lead handling that demonstrate the results of the GST IDP program at the dealer and regional level.
- Leverage available systems and platforms (including CRM, desking tools, websites, advertising platforms, 3rd party consumer portals) to improve lead handling & customer experience.
DIGITAL OPERATIONS
- Enhance Dealership Sales & Service Processes thru online channels. Drive the ideation, thinking, and experimentation of new online buying and service capabilities in order to formulate the overall GST strategy of providing a best in class car buying or service experience, to include pilot testing and implementation of Digital Retailing and/or Toyota's SmartPath Online Retailing Platform
- Assist dealers with the assessment and performance of their website and digital marketing activity utilizing TMNA tools and/or working with 3rd party vendors to create new methods for measuring and analyzing dealer online performance.
- Work with TMNA approved vendors to support dealers with marketing activity specific to TMNA and/or GST programs and dealer co-op programs. This may include working with 3rd parties and their field reps to align TMNA, GST and dealer strategies for efficient and aligned marketing activity.
- Will serve as field point person on the Toyota Digital Dealer Solutions 2.0 (TDDS) platform and will leverage all tools within the platform to assist dealers to identify areas of opportunity as it relates to online sales & service performance

SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTISE
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of digital marketing and leverage training opportunities (be a student of digital marketing and the automotive industry)
- Develop and share best practices to improve tier 3 digital marketing
- Develop proficiency in tier 3 digital marketing initiatives and build evaluation tools to assist dealers in managing process and marketing initiatives
- Develop proficiency and a thorough understanding of digital retailing by leveraging training opportunities and conferences for continuous development.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsibly receive, transmit, and handle consumer and customer data per applicable policies and procedures.
- Review and follow data privacy practices, policies, and guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Requires a bachelor's degree with 5-8 years of experience in the field or an equivalent combination of education and / or experience.
- Experience working with dealers to improve their online and website presences, including digital and social advertising.
- Experience consulting and recommending strategies to assist dealers with their ability to drive online digital traffic that improves their sales and service performance
- Experience with digital retailing, implementation of online tools and process consulting and training to transition online traffic to offline experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of the job, the associate is required on a daily basis to analyze and interpret data, communicate, and remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the work day; and frequently access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The associate is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The associate is occasionally required to travel to other sites, including out-of-state, where applicable, for business. The associate must frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While the job is generally performed in an office environment, the associate is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, areas in which moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals are present, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the office environment is typically quiet, but the associate may be occasionally exposed to loud noise levels.
TRAVEL REQUIRED
Travel is required for this position (25% to 50% of the time and on a domestic basis).
