JOB SUMMARY
The Manager, HR and Talent, under the leadership of the Director, Human Resources, is responsible for the talent management, talent acquisition and talent administration functions for GST. The Manager, HR and Talent will lead efforts to enhance the effectiveness of the organization through continuously improving policies, programs and processes in the areas of talent acquisition, associate development, administration, performance management, associate engagement, and internal communication. The Manager acts as partner and advisor to GST management and facilitates human resources and talent development initiatives across the enterprise. This position will be responsible for partnering with Shared Services and GST Supply Chain to effectively meet customer expectations for human resource needs. The Manager is responsible for creating an environment and culture that fosters drive for results, operational and business acumen, associate development and an employer of choice emphasis.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Partners in the development and execution of HR initiatives to align human resources strategy with business objectives.
- Assists leaders and associates in growing leadership, talent and technical capability while promoting a high performance, development-oriented culture. This includes providing support and consultation on the individual development planning process and leadership effectiveness coaching.
- Delivers organizational improvement efforts for individual contributors, leadership, or teams designing processes, tools and interventions focused on improving operations and team performance.
- Oversees the human resources administration process for GST, including ongoing review and improvement of processes to ensure superior execution and accuracy.
- Directs the delivery of human resource services that are consistent with, and in support of, business unit needs and growth objectives. These service areas include talent acquisition, associate relations, administration, associate development planning, and new manager assimilation.

- Identify and recommend necessary changes in Gulf States Toyota ("GST") human resource policies and procedures in partnership with the Director, Human Resources.
- Supports and partners on other HR projects and initiatives as needed.
- Provides prompt, courteous service to all customers. Prioritizes and addresses customer needs and demands in a professional manner.
- Develops positive working relationships with other HR and departmental leaders to ensure alignment of goals and objectives, coordination of services and effective collaboration and teamwork.
- Responsibly receive, transmit, and handle consumer and customer data per applicable policies and procedures.
- Review and follow data privacy practices, policies, and guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field, plus five to eight years of Human Resources, training, or organizational development experience.

- Strong coaching and feedback skills.
- Project management experience desired.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of the job, the associate is required on a daily basis to analyze and interpret data, communicate, and remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the work day; and frequently access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The associate is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The associate is occasionally required to travel to other sites, including out-of-state, where applicable, for business. The associate must frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While the job is generally performed in an office environment, the associate is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, areas in which moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals are present, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the office environment is typically quiet, but the associate may be occasionally exposed to loud noise levels. Minimal travel is required for this position (up to 20% of the time and on a domestic basis).
