OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY:
We are a seeking an experienced welder to perform pressure retaining welds on standard and custom ASME vessels and piping on a routine basis in addition to advanced structural welding.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Work from shop orders, construction drawings, sketches, and or verbal information to layout, setup and operate metal working equipment such as pipe rolls, plate rolls, welding machines, sub arcs, spot welders, torches, etc.
- Layout, Fit up, root weld and final weldments for standard pressure vessels and piping
- Layout complicated designs
- Perform x-ray quality welds as needed.
- Instruct and assist as necessary
- Perform welding operations in all positions as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to 5S principles
- Follow all safe working practices
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Certifications and Required Experience):
- High School Diploma or GED
- Fulton 3F GMAW, 2G GMAW, and 6G TGAW Welding Certification
- Ability to read an assembly drawing
- Ability to read complex mechanical drawings
- Ability to work independently on complex custom jobs with little to no supervision
- Fulton Safety Training (Crane, Tow Motor, Fire, Etc)
- Fulton Intermediate MIG Welding Class or Welding Certifications Above for a Minimum of 90 Hours
